Trevelyan Court – Outstanding Feedback

Trevelyan court, Leazes Homes extra care facility for older persons, has received some great feedback form the family of one of the residents.      

Jenni, whose mother lives in Trevlyan Court in Newbiggin hall, had this to say about the facility. “What an amazing place. Mum moved in when it first opened and as a family, we have been consistently astounded at the level of care offered – both physical and emotional. Mum has had several ‘crises’ and the staff have responded in the most caring manner without ever encroaching on her independence. We cannot praise this living complex enough – thank you to both management and care staff for allowing my sister and I to take a step back and ensure that the stress and exhaustion levels we have been living with over the last 18 months are now reduced because we know that Mum is safe, settled and happy. All the staff are dedicated, loyal and caring and without exception, will go the extra mile beyond ‘duty of care’. Special thanks to Karen, Gina, Andy, Bennet, Rachel, Gail , Elise and all the other carers involved with Mum – we take our hats of to you and can never praise or thank you enough for your support over the last few months.” Leazes Homes is delighted to get such positive feedback from a residents family. This model of extra care housing is also offered at our Kilborun House facility and two further schemes in development, Lawson House, on the former IRDL site in Byker and our new development in Throckley.
