The Leazes Homes annual review for 2014-15
Building on solid foundations
Leazes Homes has been very successful since it started in 2009, and earlier this year we decided the time was right to compile our first annual review for tenants.
Leazes Homes Annual Report Cover
We have grown significantly over the past few years and we think we have much to be proud of. Our annual review reflects on some of these achievements while at the same time sharing our hopes for another successful year throughout 2015-16.
We hope you’ll enjoy reading about our progress between April 2014 and March 2015 but, perhaps more importantly, we hope you agree with our proposed improvements for this financial year.
Some of our highlights from last year include the building of 47 new homes and the securing of £1.82million from the Homes and Communities Agency to help fund the development of further new homes up until 2018.
We also created 42 new apprenticeships, completed over 3,000 repairs and brought a number of empty properties back into use.
One of the highlights for many Leazes Homes customers was the summer party we held at Jubilee Court – all Leazes Homes customers were invited to this and many came along to enjoy school sports day activities, a petting farm, and a free packed lunch and ice cream.
We’re looking forward to working on many of the things we’ve promised to look at in the review and are already making progress on a number of things. One of the things we’re most excited about is recruiting a Tenant Board Member, who we hope will be able to give us a real insight into the issues that matter most to our customers.
